The Concept

A New Kind of Live Casino Format

“Be the Dealer Roulette” lets regular players act as the casino — offering increased payouts to other players on straight numbers (e.g. x40 instead of the standard x36).

If the offered straight number is drawn, all eligible players receive the offered payout. If it isn’t drawn, the offering player collects the eligible bets that were placed on his offering.

Offering Player (“Owner”)

Has a 0.0% chance to win the eligible bets placed on his offer.

Regular Players

Gain real positive equity when betting on increased-payout numbers.

*Eligible players — see Appendix A.

Phase 1

The Offering Phase

A new phase is added to the roulette table — the offering phase, active for a set number of seconds. Each player decides whether to become “the dealer” for the round. To make an offer, the player chooses:

  • The straight number to offer the increased payout on
  • The amount to risk from their balance
  • The payout offered to eligible players

The table then auto-calculates the total bets the offer can accept and the potential win (risk amount + accepted bets).

Example

Risk €4,000 at x40 → players can place up to €100 in eligible bets on that number.

When the phase timer ends, all offers are sent to the operator to approve, and the offering amount is taken from the owner’s wallet.

Phase 2

Place Your Bets

Place your bets screen
  • Same rules & timing as standard live casino betting
  • All players see which numbers carry increased payouts — and the payout range
  • Risk amounts of offering players stay hidden
  • Players bet as usual: straight, inside, outside bets
  • Owners can also place bets like any other player
  • Optional: on live-dealer tables, the dealer can point out the high payouts and encourage players to bet on them
Phase 3

Deciding Eligible Players

Once bets are approved, eligibility is decided by randomizing the players who bet on each boosted number, then assigning eligibility from the highest multiplier down until capacity is filled.

Bets that exceed the increased-payout capacity play against the casino as normal roulette and receive the standard x36 payout.

See the detailed assignment logic in Appendix A.

Phase 3.1

Show Eligible Bets

Eligible bets screen
  • Owners see how much of their offered payout was matched by eligible bets
  • Players see whether — and how much of — their bet qualifies for the boosted payout
Phase 4

Result Phase

Number Hits

Eligible players win the boosted payout. Remaining bets win standard x36 from the casino. The owner wins nothing.

Number Doesn’t Hit

The owner wins all bets that were eligible for his offer. Remaining bets go to the casino.

The Math

Owner RTP by Multiplier

The math is straightforward: the owner accepts a lower RTP based on the payout offered, while the eligible player gains positive equity that grows as the payout increases.

European roulette owners can offer boosted payouts starting at x38; American roulette starting at x39.

Player Appeal

Why Players Love It

Owners

Take a bigger risk, but win 0.0% of rounds (36/37).

Regular Players

Chance at positive equity when eligible — a feature no other casino game offers.

PvP / Social Dynamic

Players win and lose against each other, not the house.

Operator Appeal

Why Casinos Should Offer It

The casino isn’t part of the increased-payout transaction, but the format drives measurable upside:

User Acquisition

Positive-RTP bets attract players away from competitor sites.

Increased Bets

Players wager more on boosted numbers for a shot at eligibility.

The Tournament Variant

A Poker-Style Format

Business Model

Revenue Share Options

Option 1

Be the Dealer requires a dedicated table — rev-share is taken from the entire revenue the table generates, as with a standard game provider deal.

Option 2

Rev-share only from straight bets on increased-payout numbers.

Tournament Variant

Revenue share defined from entry fees.

IP Protection

Patent Status

Both the standard “Be the Dealer” and Tournament variants are submitted as provisional patents to the US Patent Office.
